What is the KWLA STATE SHOWCASE?
KWLA State Showcase provides Kentucky students an opportunity to show what the CAN DO in their second language.
Late elementary to 12th grade students demonstrate their proficiency in a World Language at Showcase through:
- an interpersonal interview
- AAPPL Interpretive Reading & Listening test
- Presentational Writing
- and a Cultural Competence Project
Prizes are awarded to students in various categories based on their language, projects, and proficiency level.
In addition to competing, students get the chance to meet other World Language students from around the state and participate in cultural activities.
